Amir Abdur-Rahim is a former professional American football player who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on December 20, 1977 in Marietta, Georgia. Abdur-Rahim played college football at the University of South Carolina before being drafted by the Houston Texans in the 2002 NFL Draft.
Abdur-Rahim spent two seasons with the Texans before being released and later signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2003. He also had brief stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins before retiring from professional football.
After his playing career, Abdur-Rahim has worked as a high school football coach and is involved in mentorship programs for young athletes. He is known for his dedication to helping young people achieve their goals and make positive choices in their lives.
